Shri Singh completed his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee in 1987. Over a distinguished career spanning nearly four decades, he has held key assignments in Central Railway and other divisions. His expertise covers Loco Sheds, Loco Operation, Traction Distribution, and General Services.

- Chief Electrical Engineer (Rolling Stock)
- Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations), Mumbai Division
- Chief Electrical Engineer (Project), Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation
- Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, Central Railway, Mumbai (till September 2022)
