Smt. Droupadi Murmu lays foundation stone for strategic rail connectivity projects in Odisha and Jharkhand

President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, laid foundation stones for three crucial rail projects: Bangiriposi-Gorumahisani, Buramara-Chakulia, and Badampahar-Kendujhargarh. These projects, spanning Odisha and Jharkhand, aim to enhance transportation, boost commerce, and support regional development with a combined investment exceeding Rs. 6,294 crore and a total length of 228 km.

  • Bangiriposi-Gorumahisani
    • Investment: ₹2,549 crore
    • Length: 86 km
    • Region Impacted: Mayurbhanj district
  • Buramara-Chakulia
    • Investment: ₹1,639 crore
    • Length: 60 km
    • Regions Impacted: Odisha and Jharkhand
  • Badampahar-Kendujhargarh
    • Investment: ₹2,106 crore
    • Length: 82 km
    • Regions Impacted: Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts

While addressing the event, President Murmu expressed optimism about the projects’ potential to foster regional commerce, facilitate smoother transportation, and open up business opportunities in Odisha and Jharkhand.
