Shri Daljeet Singh, DMRC Advisor, calls for accelerated Patna Metro construction with emphasis on safety

In a recent inspection, DMRC’s Advisor (Special Works), Shri Daljeet Singh, emphasised the need for accelerated construction of the Patna Metro Rail Project without compromising on safety or public convenience. During his inspection of the project sites, Singh highlighted DMRC’s commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and minimising disruptions for local residents.

Advisor (Special Works), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), Shri Daljeet Singh said that the Metro is committed to minimum inconvenience to the public along with quality work as well as safety of citizens in the areas around the Metro construction sites. He took stock of the construction sites of Patna Metro Rail Project and inspected the ongoing civil, electrical and track related works at the construction sites of ISBT Depot, Saguna more, Danapur, Patliputra etc.

During Inspection:

  • Besides inspecting the progress works of Patna Metro Rail Project, he directed the DMRC officials to start the monsoon preparatory measures at construction sites so that the work does not get hampered. 
  • He also directed the contractor to complete the piling and pile cap works at Patliputra Nallah/drain area on war footing. Then ordered that drain diversion should be meticulously planned and it should be monitored round the clock.
  • He also emphasised that all measures should be taken to ensure that metro construction work doesn’t cause any inconvenience to local people and also progress of the metro work’s.
  • He instructed the contractor agency to expedite the work of Patliputra ramp and complete the piling and pile cap works before the onset of monsoon season.
  • He inspected the Saguna more station to Danapur viaduct and ordered to keep the site clean and take care of environmental issues. Then directed the DMRC officials to ensure compliance by the contractors and ensure that all drainage systems and drains inside the metro construction site are repaired and functional in and around the site to ensure systematic and smooth drainage of water. 
  • While inspecting the ISBT Depot site, he instructed the DMRC officials to complete peripheral drainage at depot before onset of monsoon season to avoid water logging inside the depot campus and monitor the soil filling, road work etc. on a regular basis.
  • He was updated by the officials and contractor on progress of Admin Building, ETU & RGM Shed, Workshop office Building and Inspection Bay Shed etc.

This focused approach by Shri Daljeet Singh aims to bolster the construction efforts of the Patna Metro while ensuring that the project adheres to the highest standards of safety and public engagement.
