RVNL emerges lowest bidder for construction of 10 elevated stations in Nagpur Metro Phase-2

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation’s project to construct 10 elevated metro stations as part of Nagpur Metro Phase-2. The Rs. 270 crore contract covers seven stations in Reach-3A and three in Reach-4A, with a 30-month completion timeline.


Project Details:

  • Reach-3A Stations: Hingna Mount View, Rajiv Nagar, Wanadongri, APMC, Raipur, Hingna Bus Station, Hingna.
  • Reach-4A Stations: Pardi, Kapsi Khurd, Transport Nagar.

The project is part of the East-West corridor of the Nagpur Metro, Phase-II. The scope covers the construction of these metro stations, complete with all structural and architectural finishing works.

Scope of Work:

  • Construction of station entry-exit structures with detailed layout plans.
  • Execution and measurement of work per the Bills of Quantities (BOQ) across various heights, depths, and shapes.
  • Submission of a detailed method statement for the construction process.
  • The contractor will handle all aspects of the project, from materials and labour to equipment and scaffolding.

Award and Timeline:

The awarded value of the project is Rs. 270,00,78,283, and the expected time for completion is 30 months from the commencement of the work. The successful execution of the contract will enhance connectivity in Nagpur and support the city’s growing urban transportation infrastructure.
