The entities will work together to manufacture rolling stock, metro coaches, execute EPC and advanced innovation that are sustainable. The aim of the MoU is to boost India’s position in the railway sector with focus on indigenous production and advanced technology.

In a bold initiative toward boosting India’s railway ecosystem, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has joined forces with Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited by signing a MoU. This partnership will use both the companies best capabilities and integrate them to manufacture, design top-notch rolling stocks. This will enhance India’s place as a domestic producer in the railway sector.

Operation and Maintenance of Workshops:
Both entities will work out the best solutions to operate and maintain railway infrastructure to accelerate the efficiency in overhaul and repair of rolling stock. They will work on the long term management and operational excellence to reinforce India as a prominent supplier.
Manufacture and Maintenance of Rolling Stock:
The agreement will facilitate joint ventures or collaborations in the production and maintenance of rolling stock, including wagons, coaches, and other rail vehicles. The synergy between RVNL’s infrastructure execution potential and Texmaco’s manufacturing capacities is expected to improve quality and minimise delivery timelines.
Future Collaboration and Strategic Initiatives:
Establishment of Wheelset and Bogie Manufacturing Units:
Plans are in place to set up new facilities for wheelset and bogie production, boosting domestic manufacturing capacity and reducing dependency on imports.
Manufacturing of Metro Coaches and Trainsets:
The partnership will relentlessly explore metro coach and trainset manufacturing in India, which is vital as urban rail networks expand rapidly across Indian cities.
