Railway Board Member, Shri Braj Mohan Agrawal reviews Vande Bharat and Hydrogen train manufacturing progress at ICF, Chennai

Shri Braj Mohan Agrawal, Member (Traction & Rolling Stock) of the Railway Board, inspected the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, focusing on the Vande Bharat, Freight EMU, and Hydrogen Train manufacturing processes. His visit included a detailed review of the Vande Bharat Sleeper rake and Amrit Bharat coaches, followed by discussions on ongoing projects.


Inspection Highlights:

  • At the LHB Factory, Shri Agrawal closely examined the Vande Bharat Shell and Freight EMU coaches.
  • He also inspected Hydrogen Train DPC shells and Amrit Bharat (Version 2.0) coaches in the DPRS shed.
  • The tour included a review of Vande Bharat Sleeper rakes and Vistadome coaches at the commissioning shed.

Meetings with ICF Leadership:

  • After the inspection, Shri Agrawal met with Shri U. Subba Rao, General Manager of ICF, along with other principal heads of departments.
  • Discussions focused on current projects, upcoming innovations, and operational improvements within ICF.
