Patna Metro Project, being commissioned by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), is focused to provide hassle free construction of Patna Metro without compromising on safety and security of workers and commuters.

- Environmental consideration and hygiene and sanitation of the city has been priorities in the Patna Metro project. Dedicated team is being deployed at each construction site for cleaning purposes on a daily basis.
- Toe dust cleaning and Barricade board cleaning method is practised to keep barricading boards clean and dust along the toe of barricades to avoid muck/mud getting spilled on the roads. Besides that, Nozzle Based Mist Sprinkling System (Mist cannon) is used in order to prevent dispersion of dust in air during construction.
- In a nozzle based mist sprinkling system, water is converted into mist due to which its effectiveness increases thereby reducing water consumption and preventing emission of air pollutants such as PM10 and PM 2.5. This practice is followed not only within construction premises but also at nearby areas which are dusty and causing air pollution.
- The efforts being made by Project Team cannot be successful without participation of citizens and commuters. Barricades are for demarcation and warning signals. Sticking bills and pamphlets on the barricades, boards and pillars, columns.
- Throwing garbage around the barricading. Spoiling the barricades and warning signs boards by spitting on them not only makes them dirty but also gives an untidy look.
- At various locations warning messages get covered and hidden with spots and bills stuck on them which could become dangerous for commuters as the basic purpose of the same gets defeated. The efforts put in the cleaning of the board requires a lot of resources. Besides manpower it consumes a lot of water which is also a wastage.
- “World Water Day- 2023” was observed by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) at all Project sites of Patna Metro Constructions. To celebrate the theme for 2023 World Water Day “accelerating the change to solve the water and sanitation crisis”, several activities and drives were organised across all sites of the Patna Metro.
- The emphasis was on highlighting the importance of water and raising awareness about the global water crisis and enhancing the awareness among the workers and officials to save the water across all sites.
- The officials and workers pledged to conserve water and advocate for sustainable management of water resources. Apart from that the environment officer on site explained all possible water saving activities to be followed by the staff, especially workers.
- It is to be noted that Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is already ensuring water conservation measures. Various steps to save water at the Patna Metro Constructions sites have already been taken and are being practised and monitored everyday by Officials of Environment, Department, DMRC.
- Water conservation measures like water waste from RO is being reused for cleaning of roads etc, Reuse of waste water generated from wheel washing is recycled and reused at the sites. Likewise reusing of batching plant waste water, reusing of waste water generated from concrete recycling plant (Beton washing plant).
