Patna Metro Rail Corporation awards Rs. 67.45 crore escalator contract to Johnson Lifts

Patna Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has awarded a Rs. 67.45 crore contract to Johnson Lifts Pvt. Ltd. for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of escalators across various stations of the Patna Metro project. The contract consists of SITC for corridors and a 3-year CAMC post DLP. 


Introduction:

In the significant step, Johnson Lifts Private Limited receives a significant infrastructure contract from Patna Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC Limited) for the Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning (SITC) of escalators for the Patna Metro Rail Project.

Contract Information:

  • Contract Package: PE45
  • Scope: SITC of escalators across both Corridor-1 and Corridor-2 of the metro project
  • Total Contract Value: Rs. 67,45,36,374.98
  • Completion Timeline: 36 months from the date of ‘Notice to Proceed’

Cost Breakdown of the Contract:

  • SITC of Escalators at 5 Elevated Stations (Priority Corridor): Rs. 11,28,13,468
  • SITC of Elevators for Balance Stations (Corridor-2 & All of Corridor-1): Rs. 51,58,84,500.73
  • Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (CAMC) for 3 years beyond Defects Liability Period (DLP): Rs. 4,58,38,406.25

This project forms a critical part of enhancing passenger convenience and operational readiness of the metro system.
