The Noida Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (NMRC) is seeking ways to boost non-fare box revenue, focusing on the commercial utilisation of available spaces. A comprehensive presentation on potential initiatives was made to the Managing Director of NMRC.

Shri Lokesh M., Managing Director was apprised that NMRC can explore following options and utilise the spaces available at NMRC metro stations for commercial developments:
- Kiosks at the Staircase Structure at Metro Stations
- Office/Fitness Centre/Other recreational activities at Space available at Sector-83 Metro Station
- Outdoor advertisement at Pier and Median Locations
- Property Development Land Parcel at Sectors 94 and Sector-71
- Inside Advertisement at Metro Stations
Thereafter, Shri Lokesh M., Managing Director, Noida Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., inspected the NMRC Network from Sector- 51 to NSEZ and issued following directions:
- MD suggested some minor modifications at concourse level in the structure for the ease of passenger movement. He further boarded the escalator and suggested to the services of the escalator for smooth operations.
- He was unhappy with the upkeep of stations premises (Platform/PSD) and directed to improve the same.
- He observed that a number of Video screens on PSD (Platform Screen Doors) were not working. MD directed to get it rectified at the earliest.
- He also suggested putting Aqua Color Stickers on PSD and replacing the defaced stickers.
- He further directed that proper cleaning should be ensured of Trains windshield.
- He also observed that stations which have been awarded to vendors under co-branding scheme/naming rights are not maintained as per contract specifications.
- He has issued directions to issue Notice for not maintaining infrastructure as per the terms of the agreement.
- He further instructed to increase the number of TVM (Ticket Vending Machines) for the ease of passengers.
NMRC’s proactive measures demonstrate a commitment to enhancing passenger satisfaction and maximising revenue generation from non-fare sources.
