NCRTC showcases visionary RRTS corridor and Namo Bharat Train at the 17th Urban Mobility Conference & Expo 2024

At the 17th Urban Mobility Conference & Expo, NCRTC’s Namo Bharat Train exhibit dazzled visitors, showcasing the pioneering Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor’s seamless integration with other transit systems. Highlighting commuter convenience, multi-modal connectivity, and ‘Make in India’ initiatives, NCRTC’s innovative approach promises to redefine regional travel and boost public transport adoption.


Introduction to the Event and Exhibition Stall:

NCRTC’s participation in the Urban Mobility Conference & Expo 2024 highlights the transformative Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor, showcased with a stall inspired by the Namo Bharat train design.

VIP Engagement:

Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Bhai Patel, along with other dignitaries, visited the NCRTC stall. NCRTC MD Shri Shalabh Goel briefed them on the corridor’s progress and its advanced features, enhancing public transport.

Overview of RRTS Benefits:

Shri Goel emphasised how RRTS enhances accessibility through faster regional travel, encouraging public transport use. Key benefits include improved access to employment, education, healthcare, and housing.

Integration with Multi-Modal Networks:

NCRTC’s RRTS integrates seamlessly with other transit systems, supported by collaborations with DMRC and IRCTC for QR-code ticketing, creating a unified commuter experience across regional rail, metro, and Indian Railways.

Namo Bharat’s Unique Features:

The Namo Bharat trains, aligned with ‘Make in India’ initiatives, feature NCMC for unified travel and retail payments, indigenously developed platform screen doors, and women-led operations, all focused on commuter ease.

Milestone Achievements and Future Expansion:

Celebrating one year of operations, the 42-km corridor has served over 40 lakh passengers. The upcoming Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar extension will connect more stations, enhancing regional connectivity.
