NCRTC hosts UITP TEFC meeting: Showcases financial sustainability and innovations in public transport

The NCRTC co-hosted the UITP TEFC meeting in New Delhi, uniting global experts to discuss sustainable mobility, innovative financing, and operational efficiency. Delegates explored topics like fare affordability, PPP models, and green finance while touring the transformative Delhi-Meerut RRTS project, highlighting NCRTC’s commitment to innovative and commuter-centric solutions.

In his inaugural speech, Mr. Shalabh Goel, Managing Director of NCRTC, emphasised the significance of hosting the first TEFC meeting in India. He highlighted the need for financially sustainable, environmentally responsible, and resilient urban transport systems to address global challenges such as population growth and climate concerns.

“This platform provides an invaluable opportunity to highlight the transformative potential of our Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) and draw inspiration from global best practices,” said Mr. Goel.
