The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has awarded a contract to M/s Pawan Kumar worth INR 13.92 crore for infrastructure enhancements at Sarai Kale Khan, Nizamuddin, and surrounding areas. The project includes new entry/exit structures, foot over bridges (FOB), restoration of a high-pressure water pipeline, and various enabling works to improve connectivity and passenger convenience.
The awarded contract covers multiple enabling works, including:
Foot Overbridge & Entry/Exit Structures:
- Construction of an FOB with a pre-engineered building (PEB) structure across Ring Road.
- New entry/exit structures connecting Sarai Kale Khan RRTS station with DMRC’s Nizamuddin Metro Station and Nizamuddin Railway Station.
Utility Shifting & Restoration:
- Relocation of a high-pressure DJB water pipeline to its original position near Gurudwara, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services.
Enhancements at Stations & Viaduct:
- Installation of aluminum louvers at Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar RRTS stations.
- Provision of anti-bird spikes and railing enhancements at key locations.
- Fixing of drainage pipes from platform level to the ground at Sarai Kale Khan.
Landscaping & Additional Works:
- Road development, signage installation, and horticulture improvements at Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar.
- Conducting viaduct and station tests as per CMRS requirements.
The awarded project valued at INR 13,92,75,614.75/- will be completed within a span of six months.
