Mumbai Metro Line-6: Two bidders secure architectural finishing work contract for elevated stations

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has awarded two major contracts for architectural finishing, PEB structures, and external works for Mumbai Metro Line 6 stations. SS SS Constructions and Landmark Corporation Pvt. Ltd. – Neev (JV) will execute these projects at eight stations, ensuring structural enhancements and urban integration.

SS SS Constructions Private Limited:

  • Name of Work: Architectural Finishing Works including Desi:gn, Fabrication, Supply, Erection & Roof Sheeting of Pre- Engineered Building (PEB) Structures and Design & Construction of External Facade, Water Supply, Sanitary Installation, Drainage, Site Development Works at Three (03) Elevated Stations namely IIT Powai, Kanjurmarg (W) And Vikhroli (EEH) of Mumbai Metro Line 06 Project.

  • Contract Value: INR 76,68,10,088/-
  • Contract Period: 24 Months

Landmark Corporation Pvt. Ltd. – Neev (JV):

  • Name of Work: Architectural finishing works including design, fabrication, supply, erection & roof sheeting of pre-engineered building ( PEB ) structures and design & construction of external facade, water supply, sanitary installation, drainage, site development works at five (05) elevated stations namely Swami Samarth Nagar, Adarsh Nagar, Jogeshwari (w), JVLR & Shyam Nagar including two FOB’s at Adarsh Nagar & JVLR Station of Mumbai Metro line 06 project.

  • Contract Value: INR 165,93,16,616/-
  • Contract Period: 24 Months

Scope of Work:

The awarded contractors will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and erecting PEB structures while ensuring adherence to design specifications set by the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC). Key tasks include:

  • Structural and Architectural Elements: Roof sheeting, side cladding, ventilation systems, and access walkways.
  • Station Infrastructure: Water supply, drainage, and facade works.
  • Integration with Metro Systems: Enabling provisions for Overhead Electrification (OHE), signaling, and telecommunication equipment.
  • Mock-up & Approval Process: Contractors will create a prototype for approval before full-scale implementation.

With these contracts, MMRDA is advancing towards the timely completion of Mumbai Metro Line 6, enhancing urban mobility and connectivity.
