The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has granted M/s KSM Bashir Mohammad and Sons a Letter of Acceptance for designing and constructing the Metro Bhawan and Operational Control Centre (OCC) building in Lucknow. This state-of-the-art facility will include various utilities and spaces for seamless metro operations and staff requirements.

Scope of Works for the Contractor:
In the vicinity of Sachivalaya underground metro station, parallel to B N Road and besides/behind Sahkarita Bhawan campus a Metro Bhawan cum OCC building is to be constructed. The building shall have a Basement, Ground Floor and Five Floors above it (B+G+5 building).
The Metro Bhawan and OCC building will feature parking facilities, utility rooms, pump rooms, underground and overhead tanks, fire water tanks, chiller rooms, cooling towers, DG rooms, substations, kitchens, cafeterias, leasable spaces, meeting rooms, boardrooms, store rooms, data networking rooms, UPS rooms, a VIP lounge, locker rooms, OCC facilities, SCADA rooms, security rooms, washrooms, lifts, staircases, HVAC systems, and other essential facilities to ensure smooth operation and functionality.
The Design & Construction of Metro Bhawan cum OCC building under this contract will generally consist of, but not limited to:
- Comprehensive Construction Scope: The project includes all construction aspects, such as civil, architectural, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, firefighting, and landscaping, along with various utility structures like the canteen, store, substation, and OCC.
- Utility and Infrastructure Work: It covers utilities like water supply, rainwater harvesting, drainage, sewerage, and connecting building utilities with city lines.
- Coordination with Contractors: Involves working with contractors for electrical, mechanical, signalling, telecom, and equipment to ensure integrated functionality.
- Integration with Metro Operations: Ensures the OCC is fully connected with metro operations for seamless functionality.
- Design and Build Contract: Executed on a design and build basis, the project includes a fixed-price contract covering the entire scope of work.
