Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has awarded a Rs. 168.16 crore contract to M/s Jakson Limited for electrical and mechanical (E&M) systems in Corridor 5 of the Phase-II project. The contract includes works for 6 underground and 10 elevated stations. The agreement was signed in the presence of senior CMRL and Jakson officials.
Contract Details:
The awarded contract, titled CMRL/CON/PHASE-II/CORR-5/CP12-C5-E&M-03, covers the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and training for critical systems. These include electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ventilation and air conditioning (VAC), and the building management system (BMS). The scope spans 6 underground stations, 10 elevated stations, a bored tunnel, and the elevated viaduct from Madhavaram Milk Colony Station to Koyembedu 100 Feet Road Station.
