Bangalore Metro collaborates with Delta Electronics and Bagmane Developers for the development of Blue and Yellow lines

BMRCL has partnered with Delta Electronics and Bagmane Developers for the construction of key metro stations on the Yellow and Blue Lines, respectively. With innovative financing mechanisms, these initiatives aim to reduce traffic congestion, promote sustainable mobility, and offer naming rights, ensuring Bengaluru’s metro expansion benefits commuters and the environment alike.


Yellow Line Collaboration:

BMRCL has entered into a Definitive Agreement with Delta Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. for the construction of Bommasandra Metro Station on the Yellow Line (Reach-5). This project, valued at Rs. 65 crores, includes naming rights for 30 years upon government approval. The initiative aims to provide sustainable mobility and reduce traffic congestion along Hosur Road.

The Yellow Line, extending from RV Road to Bommasandra as part of Phase-2, offers efficient transit solutions for residents and commuters, lowering environmental impact. This marks the third contract on this line, following partnerships for Konnappa Agrahara Station with Infosys Foundation and Hebbagodi Station with Biocon Foundation.

Maheshwar Rao, said, “We are very happy that Delta Electronics India Pvt Ltd has come forward with their support for sustainable urban development and urban transport. Further, along the metro corridors, he requested other corporate bodies to join hands with BMRCL to develop metro infrastructure in the city.

Mr. Benjamin Lynn-President and Mr. Niranjan Naik-Managing Director, Delta Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are delighted to partner with BMRCL for the construction of Bommasandra Metro Station at Hosur Road. Through our contribution of Rs.65 crore, Bangalore We are fulfilling our responsibility towards environmental sustainability by providing an alternative way of mobility to the citizens To reduce traffic congestion by enabling greater use of public transport.

Blue Line Collaboration:

BMRCL and Bagmane Developers Private Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for constructing the DRDO Sports Complex Metro Station on the Blue Line (Phase-2A), which spans from Central Silk Board to K.R. Pura. Bagmane Developers is funding Rs. 40 crores for naming rights for 20 years, along with an additional Rs. 30 crores for direct connectivity to their campus from three metro stations: Seetharamapalya, Bellandur, and ISRO.

The Blue Line, a 17-km stretch with 13 stations, is a crucial link for Bengaluru’s IT corridors and residents. By reducing traffic congestion on the Outer Ring Road, it promotes eco-friendly transit, improving the quality of life for commuters. This is the third MoU signed for this line, showcasing innovative financing strategies.
