Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has awarded two significant contracts to JMD Consultants and Nuvision Commercial & Escort Services for ticket vending services. These projects are a necessary take to accelerate ticket operations across several metro lines, the execution period of the contract is 4 years from the date 17th May 2025.
Introduction:
In a strategic step to provide efficient and hassle free ticket purchasing, DMRC has awarded a contract to two prestigious companies —- JMD Consultants pvt. Ltd. and Nuvision Commercial & Escort Services. The contract consists of providing ticket vending services in various metro stations of several lines of delhi metro. The contract worth Rs. 324 crores, showcases how delhi metro is taking steps to provide convenient travelling journey and smooth operations.
Contract 1 – JMD Consultants:
JMD Consultants has received the contract from DMRC, the contract consist of the ticket vending services at various metro stations on Line-1 (Red Line), Line-6 (Violet Line), Line-7 West (Pink Line), Line-8 (Magenta Line), and other selected locations.
Scope of Work- The company has to deploy ticket vending personnel and associated services, it will help in smooth ticket purchasing and it will save time for the commuters especially on rush hours.
Contract Value- The contract is worth Rs. 151,49,81,977.87 (approximately Rs. 151.5 crores).
Duration- the contract has to be completed by the company within 4 years, starting from 17th May 2025, they have to provide the best services for the time period.
This contract is vital as it will help passengers to get tickets without waiting in long queues, during rush hours it saves travel time and increases facilities to purchase tickets at stations.
Contract 2 – Nuvision Commercial & Escort Services:
Nuvision Commercial & Escort Services bag this contract from DMRC, the order includes managing ticket vending services at metro stations on Line-2 (Yellow Line), Line-3 (Blue Line), Line-4 (Blue Line Extension), Line-5 (Green Line), Line-9 (Grey Line), the Airport Express Line (AEL), and other locations.
Scope of Work- This order consists of similar work, deploying professional personnel for manual and assisted ticket vending operations, system handling, and on-ground commuter support across several metro lines.
Contract Value- The contract’s total cost is Rs. 172,82,04,392.32 (approximately Rs. 172.8 crores).
Execution Period- The time period to complete the contract is 4 years from the date of 17th May 2025, a step towards improving Delhi Metro’s ticketing operations.
Delhi metro has chosen Nuvision for this role as it has a proven expertise in this field. It will ensure efficient and smooth operations during peak hours, especially at the metro line like Blue and yellow line which has highest regular footfalls.

Together, these contracts aim to reinforce DMRC’s commitment to offering a seamless commuting experience backed by reliable and tech-enabled services. With rising metro ridership in Delhi NCR, the importance of efficient ticketing cannot be overstated.
