Western Railway Completes Doubling Work of 34 km Long Nandurbar-Dondaicha Section

Western Railway (WR) has successfully completed the work of Doubling of Nandurbar-Dondaicha (34 km) section between Udhna-Jalgaon with NI of all 5 stations by simultaneously working at each station day and night for 48 hours on 22nd July 2018.

Doubling of Nandurbar-Dondaicha (34 km) section commissioned in which 15 new turnouts were inserted using T28 machine, tower wagons & 200-250 labourers from Engg, Electrical & S&T deptts. Work involved 45 kms track laying, 54 turnouts, 61 signals, 194 track circuits, etc.

With commissioning of Doubling between Nandurbar & Dondaicha (34 Km), the entire Doubling of Udhana-Jalgaon (304 kms) on Mumbai Div of WR has been successfully commissioned. It will provide east-west corridor, improve punctuality & help in intro of additional trains on this route.
