Pune: The traffic diversion for the Metro rail construction between Pimpri & Swargate along the Mumbai-Pune highway on 2 stretches in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits would be in effect from Today.
The central lanes on these stretches towards Mumbai, from Harris Bridge – MM Chowk (near Dapodi flyover) & Nashik Phata – Kharalwadi, would be closed.
Traffic would be diverted to service roads.
The total distance of the Pimpri-Swargate route is 16.59km.
Of it, a total of 7km long stretch will be in the PCMC limits with 6 Metro stations.
Mahametro has appointed College of Engineering Pune (CoEP) as the traffic management consultant for the project.
