State Government To Seek Japanese Help For Construction Of Phase-II Of Metro Rail Project

Hyderabad: The state government may tie-up either with the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation or JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) for the construction of phase-II of Hyderabad Metro Rail project.

The Municipal Administration & Urban Development secretary Navin Mittal, held preliminary discussions with the Japanese officials in this regard.

Navin Mittal was in Japan for 6 days.

More Information:

  • The state government has proposed 83 km in 5 stretches tentatively for the phase-II of Metro Rail.
  • For this, the state government wanted a tie up with the Japanese Mitsubishi or JICA.
  • Navin Mittal said,“We have held preliminary discussions. The dialogue process will continue further.”
  • The TRS government is determined to expand the Hyderabad Metro Rail facility to around 200km in future.
  • As part of this, the State government proposed 5 stretches in the phase-II programme.

The Five stretches are-

  • Miyapur-Patancheuru (13 km)
  • LB Nagar-Hayat Nagar ( 7 km)
  • Nagole to LB Nagar-Falknuma-Shamshabad (28 km)
  • Tarnaka to ECIL cross roads ( 7km )
  • Raydurg-Gachibowli-Shamshabad (28 km)
