Hyderabad: The state government may tie-up either with the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation or JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) for the construction of phase-II of Hyderabad Metro Rail project.
The Municipal Administration & Urban Development secretary Navin Mittal, held preliminary discussions with the Japanese officials in this regard.
Navin Mittal was in Japan for 6 days.
The state government has proposed 83 km in 5 stretches tentatively for the phase-II of Metro Rail.
For this, the state government wanted a tie up with the Japanese Mitsubishi or JICA.
Navin Mittal said,“We have held preliminary discussions. The dialogue process will continue further.”
The TRS government is determined to expand the Hyderabad Metro Rail facility to around 200km in future.
As part of this, the State government proposed 5 stretches in the phase-II programme.
