RITES-Aryan Joint Venture has been awarded a key EPC contract by South Western Railway for the comprehensive redevelopment of Tumakuru Station. The scope includes civil works, signal & telecommunication systems, and electrical general services. The project is to be completed in 540 days, with RITES’ share valued at Rs. 37.81 crore (excluding GST).
Tumakuru Station Redevelopment:
In a major boost to infrastructure development in Karnataka, the RITES-Aryan Joint Venture has received the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from South Western Railway for the redevelopment of Tumakuru Railway Station aligned with the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The project will be executed under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) agreement, marking a significant step in modernizing one of the region’s important rail hubs.

This redevelopment project aligns with Indian Railways’ broader vision of upgrading passenger infrastructure under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and other modernization initiatives. Once completed, the new-look Tumakuru Station will offer enhanced services and a better travel experience to thousands of daily commuters and long-distance travelers.
RITES also won contract from African Rail Company:
- RITES Ltd. has received a significant Purchase Order from the African Rail Company for the supply and commissioning of two fully overhauled Cape Gauge ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives.
- These locomotives, fitted with new Cape Gauge bogies, traction motors, advanced control systems, and air brake systems, will be deployed across Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Botswana.
- The contract, valued at USD 3.6 million (CIF), is scheduled to be completed within a period of nine months.
Conclusion:
