Kashmir: On Thursday, Railway Minister, Suresh Prabhu promised a Vistadome train service in which Kashmiri cuisine ‘wazwan’ will be served.
Prabhu, addressing a function at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Complex here, said,”Tourists need to enjoy the beauty of the Kashmir Valley and the proposed train service will add to their delightful experience.”
- He had been speaking Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, who was present at the event, about ways and means to increase tourist facilities in the Valley through railways, the minister said.
- He said,”We will launch a Vistadome service here. We have placed an order with our coach factories.”
- The function was organised for remote-controlled foundation stone laying of 5 new railway halt stations on the Baramulla-Qazigund rail section.
- The CM requested another halting station at Batapora in Pulwama district, which Prabhu promised to consider.
