Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Railways flagged off the first ever Rajdhani Express between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai and Hazrat Nizamuddin, MEMU services on Diva-Panvel-Roha section and Extended Pune-Karjat – Panvel passenger from Panvel.

Goyal also Inaugurated Pen-Roha Electrification and 2 Escalators provided at Panvel station, Dedicated 100 feet National Flag at CSMT, Mumbai Central and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Foot over Bridges at Belapur, Taloja, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road, Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Virar and Malad stations, Lifts at Bandra Terminus, Andheri and Borivali, Green stations at Roha, Pen and Apta, Improvement of circulating area of Panvel station, 40 Additional ATVMs over Mumbai suburban stations of Western Railway, Improvement of illumination level at Dadar, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Thane, Kalyan stations and New LED based advance indicators at Ghatkopar station, Laid the foundation stone for Road over bridges near Juchandra station at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai on 19.1.2019.

Shri Anant Geete, Hon’ble Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India has also flagged off the Roha-Diva MEMU services from Roha and Shri Prashant Thakur, Hon’ble MLA, flagged off the extended Pune-Karjat – Panvel passenger from Panvel amidst a huge gathering.

Shri Ramdas Athawale, Hon’ble Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India and Shri Vinod Tawde, Shri Ravindra Chavan, Hon’ble Ministers of Maharashtra, Shri Arvind Sawant, Shri Rahul Shewale, Shri Gopal Shetty, Hon’ble MPs, Shri Raj Purohit, Shri Ashish Shelar, Capt. Tamil Selvan, Shri Atul Shah, Hon’ble MLAs were present as Guests of Honour on the occasion.

Shri D.K. Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway presented the welcome address, Shri A.K. Gupta, General Manager, Western Railway along with Shri D.K. Sharma welcomed the dignitaries by traditional way of presenting shawl. Shri S.K. Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division, Central Railway gave vote of thanks. Shri G.S.K. Iyer, Senior Publicity Inspector from PR department conducted the programme.
