Patna: The Metro rail would start operating in Patna from 2024, Bihar Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar said. The DPR (Detailed Project Report) of Patna Metro has been completed and by the end of this financial year the work of the Metro project will be started, Kumar said. By 2024 Metro operations will be started on two routes of Patna, he said.
The first corridor will be from Danapur to Patna junction, 16.94 kilometers, and the second corridor will be 14.45 kilometers from Patna junction to New ISBT.
The first corridor – Saguna mor, RPS mor, Pataliputra, Raja Bazar, Patna zoo, Vikas Bhawan, High Court, Patna Station, Mithapur.
2nd Corridor – this route will include Metro stations like Patna Junction, Akashvani, Gandhi Maidan, PMCH, Rajendra Nagar, Nalanda Medical College Hospital, Kumbhar, Gandhi Setu, ISBT.
