Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has awarded a contract worth Rs. 24.82 crore to Otis Elevator Company (India) Limited for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of heavy-duty machine-room-less elevators for the Patna Metro Rail Project. The project will be completed within 36 months and includes essential civil, training, and maintenance works.
Scope of Work:
The contract covers the supply and integration of machine-room-less elevators for seamless passenger movement, including accessibility for specially-abled persons. Key responsibilities include:
- Installation of Elevators in stations and depots.
- Minor civil modifications such as cutouts, cable entry holes, and structural restorations.
- Transportation of materials and equipment.
- Provision of spare parts, diagnostic tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Comprehensive training and transfer of technology to DMRC personnel.
- Documentation, interface management, and integration with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Statutory clearances for commissioning the elevators.
Otis Will Also Provide Service Commitments:
- System quality management, reviews, and audit support.
- Operations and maintenance support services post-installation.
- Decommissioning, removal, and disposal of temporary works.
- Prototyping and defects liability coverage as per DMRC’s Defects Liability Period (DLP) policy.
