NCRTC revolutionizes commuting with live train tracking and parking status features on ‘RRTS Connect’ App

NCRTC has launched two groundbreaking features on the ‘RRTS Connect’ app: live train tracking and real-time parking status. These first-of-their-kind features in India enhance commuter convenience, providing real-time updates on train locations and parking availability at RRTS stations. This innovation sets a new benchmark for public transport, making travel smoother and more efficient.


Live Train Tracking Feature:

The live train tracking feature provides real-time updates on train arrivals, enabling commuters to plan their journeys with precision. Passengers can view the exact location of Namo Bharat trains, upcoming stations, distance to the next station, and estimated arrival times, ensuring a predictable and hassle-free travel experience.

Live Parking Status Feature:

For the first time in India, the live parking status feature allows passengers to check real-time parking availability at RRTS stations. This enables commuters to make informed decisions about parking, saving time and reducing stress. With facilities accommodating over 8,000 vehicles along the Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor, parking convenience is a priority.

Other App Features:

  • Ticket Booking: Effortless purchase of journey tickets.
  • Last-Mile Connectivity: Integration with Rapido for booking bikes, autos, and cabs.
  • Feeder Bus Services: Schedules for seamless connectivity.
  • Station Navigation: Detailed layouts and facility information, including water, restrooms, and escalators.
  • Support Options: Direct communication with the station control room and a “Lost & Found” service.

These new features enhance commuter convenience, contributing to a smarter, more predictable, and user-friendly public transportation system. They set a benchmark for modern urban transit by addressing key concerns like time management and accessibility.

Future Expansion:

Currently, 42 km of the RRTS corridor is operational, with nine stations serving passengers. The Delhi section trial runs are progressing smoothly, and once operational, the corridor will expand to 54 kilometers, connecting strategic locations like Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar to the network.
