NCRTC invites developers for integrated parking and commercial spaces at RRTS stations

NCRTC has floated an Expression of Interest (EOI) to develop integrated parking and commercial spaces at six key RRTS stations along the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor. This initiative aims to enhance passenger convenience and transform RRTS stations into multifunctional hubs with modern amenities, including retail outlets, food courts, and service apartments.

The initiative aims to:

  • Enhance parking infrastructure for improved passenger convenience.
  • Integrate commercial spaces, including retail outlets, food courts, offices, and service apartments, within the station areas.
  • Create vibrant commercial justify that serve as leisure, work, and short-term stay destinations, maximizing utility.

Expressions of interest have been invited for six strategically located stations:

  • DPS Rajnagar Guldhar
  • Duhai
  • Murad Nagar
  • Modi Nagar South
  • Modi Nagar North
  • Meerut South

Developers are encouraged to submit innovative proposals for utilizing these parking areas by 27 December 2024. Detailed guidelines are available on the official NCRTC website.

Current RRTS Operations:

Namo Bharat trains currently operate along a 42 km stretch, connecting nine stations from Sahibabad to Meerut South. Trial runs are underway at Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar, extending the corridor’s operational reach.

Conclusion:

NCRTC’s initiative to integrate parking and commercial spaces at RRTS stations represents a step toward modernizing urban transport hubs. By blending mobility with business opportunities, these developments promise to elevate the commuter experience, offering convenience, leisure, and workspaces under one roof. Developers are invited to shape the future of urban mobility hubs.
