Mumbai: MMRC (Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation), which is implementing the Colaba-Seepz corridor, said it has received bids from domestic & international players for the traction power supply contract.
The MMRC has received bids from firms like Tata Projects, Larsen & Toubro and Siemens among others, MMRC said in a statement.
The entire work has been divided into 2 contract packages, 11A (traction work) & 11B (power supply) for the purpose of smooth execution of works.
MMRC, Managing Director, Ashwini Bhide said,”MMRC opened bids for package 11B pertaining to power supply related work. After completing evaluation of bids we may award the contract by November this year. Latest technology GIS base substations are planned by MMRC as part of this contract.”
The 11B package work will consist of detailed design, engineering, supply, installation, testing & commissioning of power supply works including receiving substations, 110 kV cabling works, traction substations, auxiliary main substations, switching stations, supervisory control & data acquisition (SCADA) system, & integration with other systems.
