Mumbai: MMRC (Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation) on Monday awarded Contract for the Heavy Duty Elevators (Lifts) works for 13 Stations (Aarey to Dadar) and OCC Building for Colaba Bandra-Seepz Metro Line 3 project after obtaining clearance from JICA as per procurement norms.
‘Joint Venture of CRANEX and IFE’ has been awarded the Heavy Duty Elevators (Lifts) works for Package 16B (Lot-L1) being the most competitive amongst the respective prequalified bidders. The works consist of Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning along with other associated works for 76 nos. of Heavy Duty Elevators (Lifts) for the 13 stations and OCC Building.
The Heavy Duty Elevators (Lifts) are being planned with compact size having Variable Voltage Variable Frequency (VVVF) Regenerative Drives for power saving, Web-based real time monitoring and maintenance with the latest technology in the field of Elevator systems.
Commenting on the same, Managing Director MMRC, Ms. Ashwini Bhide said, “Heavy Duty Elevators (Lifts) works” is a critical component of Metro Line 3 implementation for Passenger comfort and safety. We aim to implement robust and technologically advanced Heavy Duty Elevators (Lifts) system and complete the works in time so that Metro Line-3 project can be completed in stipulated timelines.
