Mr. Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation today reviewed Chaudhary Charan Singh Metro Station, the largest underground metro station, under the North-South Corridor phase 1A. This Metro station is the largest station in the underground section. This station is also the starting point of the 23 km long red line route. Managing Director, Mr. Kumar Keshav informed on the occasion that after the overall completion of civil work now finishing of Metro station is at last stage. The ongoing work at concourse level is also in its last stages.
While inspecting the progress of work, the Managing Director examined the major construction works at the Metro station. He overviewed all the necessary rooms (Electrical, Signalling,UPS, Ticket operating Machine Room etc.) essential for operation of the Metro. The work of overhead electrification is finished while testing of all the systems installed at the station is in progress. Giving priority to the safety of the passengers, he was also informed about the position of emergency doors and other public utility facilities installed at the station.
Mr. Kumar Keshav also inspected the construction work being carried out on the platform part, where the work of laying the tracks on either side of the up and down line has been completed. Passengers coming out of the Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport will be able to reach this Metro Station by travelling a distance of just 100 meters.
Managing Director, Shri Kumar Keshav inspected each and every corner of the Metro station thoroughly and reviewed the work of all the necessary public and staff area including public toilet, property development area and unpaid area. It is now a record that a Metro project of such magnitude is heading towards completion before the set time of period.
