The Maharashtra Metro Rail (Pune Project) has joined hands with Bureau Veritas India Private Limited (BVIL) for setting up a material testing laboratory for quality testing of various materials required for construction of metro rail project.
The agreement was signed by Mahesh Kumar Director Project Maha Metro and Mr. Umesh Jadhav Director, BVIL in presence of Ramnath Subramaniyam, Executive Director, Maha Metro, Shashikant Limeye, Technical Advisor, Pune Metro Project, Hukum Singh Chaudhary, Project Director, Keshav Tayde, Quality Assurance Head Maha Metro and Rusheet Padalia, Market Leader, BVIL.
Bureau Veritas is an French company established in 1828 and has branches & office in 140 countries around the world. Bureau Veritas India Private Limited is the 100% subsidiary of Bureau Veritas Group and has established laboratories in almost all the major cities in India . With association we will enjoy world class testing facilities for Pune metro work.
The Maha Metro has already established a material testing laboratory at Nagpur in association with BVIL. This agreement being signed today will Pave a way in starting of material testing laboratory for quality testing of various material for Pune metro present .
This laboratory will be established in casting yard of Reach 1 near Nashik Phata. The Laboratory will be spread on 4500 sq.ft area and will be equipped with all the latest equipment and instrument for various testing. The testing will be carried out by highly trained technicians with latest testing equipments.
Maha Metro will be joining hands for the 2nd time with M/S BVIL for establishing laboratory which will facilitate the contractors to test their material in a short time reducing the turn around time which would help meet project timelines. All testing reports will be made available on line.
The laboratory facilities with also cater to the needs of all Government, Semi Government & private establishments & contractors.
