The work of balance corridor section from KD Singh Stadium to Munshipulia is in full swing and is expected to finish by the end of this year. In order to tap the non-fare box revenue through the development of commercial spaces at the stations LMRC has partnered with the Delhi based consultant M/s Mind Flow Partners.
M/s Mindflow Partners has varied experience of understanding the ‘passengers on the go’ for commercial development of Airports, Railway Stations and other similar kinds of Transportation Hubs. This agency has recently executed the commercial development of 12 Airports of India including the Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) Airport. It will also integrate Commercial spaces and Metro services in accordance with the station layout, commuters’ movements and operation principles along with marketing of commercial spaces in association with LMRC.
LMRC endeavours for the enhanced commuter experience through the optimal utilization of its commercial spaces. The maximization of non-fare box revenue will contribute to the development of aesthetical view of Lucknow Metro stations. Lucknow Metro will project itself as the gateway to Lucknow Tourism by highlighting Lucknow’s heritage and cultural beauty.
This innovative initiative by LMRC will create a lively ambience on the stations. Lucknow Metro commuters besides availing the world class transportation will be able to enjoy several other facilities and services at the stations for an enhanced commuting experience. Through a horde of commercial facilities planned at stations like Retail, F&B, Daily Services, Leisure and Business related will substantially supplement fare box revenue thereby enhancing sustainability of Metro operations and making Metro commuting even more affordable in the long run.
