KOCHI: The KMRL (Kochi Metro Rail Ltd) has rolled out vans as feeder services at selected stations on a trial basis.
Kochi 1 Smart Card will be accepted in the feeder vans.
The Services Are Available From These Stations-
Route maps & feeder passes will be provided through the counters set up at the stations.
- The KMRL had already struck deals with autorickshaw drivers to offer feeder services for the metro rail stations.
- KMRL spokesperson said,“Autorickshaw and van feeder services will provide the much-needed first and last mile connectivity to citizens.”
- Feeder services have been planned for all 16 stations & will be rolled out in a phased manner, the spokesperson said.
- The spokesperson said,“The services will be launched at different stages after the metro is extended to Maharaja’s College. In the first phase, of the 16 stations from Aluva till Maharaja’s College, 11 will be attached to the feeder services. The services will be operated on 13 van routes and 54 autorickshaw routes. The number of routes for the remaining five stations will be finalised later.”
