Kanpur Metro: TBM ‘Azad’ completes Up-line tunnel from Swadeshi Cotton Mill to Transport Nagar station

The Kanpur Metro Rail project has achieved a crucial step in its underground section with the completion of the ‘up-line’ tunnel from Swadeshi Cotton Mill to Transport Nagar station. Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) ‘Azad’ successfully broke through after constructing a 330-meter-long tunnel in this stretch, marking another accomplishment for the city’s expanding metro infrastructure.
