Indore Metro successfully launches 38m steel girders over railway tracks on Priority Corridor

In a significant milestone for the Indore Metro Priority Corridor, a 38-meter-long steel girder was successfully launched over the Indian Railways track between Stations SC01 and SC02 within a 4-hour night block. This achievement brings the project closer to connecting up to Malviya Nagar Chauraha (Radisson Square), marking steady progress.


Introduction:

The Indore Metro Priority Corridor witnessed a remarkable feat with the successful launching of a 38-meter-long steel girder for the Metro Railway Over Bridge (RoB) over Indian Railways tracks. This engineering achievement was executed in a tightly coordinated 4-hour night block between stations SC01 and SC02.

Bridge Connection Nearing Completion:

Following this milestone, only two more spans adjacent to the completed railway span remain to be erected. Once these are in place, the viaduct will establish a continuous connection up to Malviya Nagar Chauraha (Radisson Square), enhancing the corridor’s structural completion.

Leadership Encouragement:

Shri S. Krishna Chaitanya, IAS, Managing Director of MPMRCL, commended the project team for their dedication and urged them to maintain the momentum to ensure the timely delivery of the corridor.

Milestone Achieved with Foundation Casting of Pier:

  • The Indore Metro Rail Project has achieved another significant milestone with the successful completion of the first foundation casting of Pier No. 186. 
  • This critical development is part of the Elevated Package IN-04 and is located between Robot Square and Khajrana Square.
  • The completion of this foundation work marks a steady advancement in the ongoing metro construction efforts, reinforcing Indore’s commitment to building a seamless and efficient urban transit system.

The successful girder launch marks another strong step towards realizing Indore’s modern transit vision. With structural milestones being met swiftly and leadership driving the pace, the Priority Corridor is well on track to transform urban mobility in the city. Full connectivity to Radisson Square is now within close reach.
