Hyderabad: RDSO (Research Designs & Standards Organisation) begins Oscillation Test Run on the section between Mettuguda to Begumpet.
The RDSO team checks the rolling stock/train running behaviour with instrumentation & sensors and issue a Speed Certificate on satisfactory performance.
- After 15-20 days of RDSO testing, the metro rail authorities can seek the permission of the CMRS (Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety) to conduct their own safety test on some more trains.
- Only after the CMRS nod Hyderabad Metro Rail can begin commercial operations of the trains.
- While this testing was for the 9 km stretch from Mettuguda to Begumpet, necessary approvals for running commercial operations was obtained for Nagole to Mettuguda (8 km) & Miyapur to S.R. Nagar (12 km).
- Metro officials informed, safety tests for Begumpet – Ameerpet & S.R. Nagar – Ameerpet stretches will be done once the interchange station at Ameerpet is ready.
