Hyderabad: RDSO (Research Designs & Standards Organisation) begins Oscillation Test Run on the section between Mettuguda to Begumpet.
The RDSO team checks the rolling stock/train running behaviour with instrumentation & sensors and issue a Speed Certificate on satisfactory performance.
After 15-20 days of RDSO testing, the metro rail authorities can seek the permission of the CMRS (Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety) to conduct their own safety test on some more trains.
Only after the CMRS nod Hyderabad Metro Rail can begin commercial operations of the trains.
While this testing was for the 9 km stretch from Mettuguda to Begumpet, necessary approvals for running commercial operations was obtained for Nagole to Mettuguda (8 km) & Miyapur to S.R. Nagar (12 km).
Metro officials informed, safety tests for Begumpet – Ameerpet & S.R. Nagar – Ameerpet stretches will be done once the interchange station at Ameerpet is ready.
