Hyderabad: The L&T has completed the erection of crucial Bhoiguda Metro RoB on JBS-Falaknuma corridor-II, NVS Reddy, Managing Director of HMRL announced.
About the Bridge-
- The bridge is 64 feet wide and 221 feet long, and stands 40 feet above the road.
- The bridge had to be designed in the shape of a box, because of the curvy nature of the Metro track, which takes a sharp left turn over the existing Bhoiguda Road Under Bridge (RUB) of Indian Railways, Reddy said.
- “Inside the box, a composite deck slab i.e., a mixture of steel and reinforced cement concrete slab is being laid to accommodate two Metro Rail tracks.
- The main launching operation was successfully completed in less than 6 hours of “traffic block” given by Railways during which the train operations were suspended temporarily.
