Hyderabad: The LB Nagar–Ameerpet corridor of Hyderabad Metro Rail will be launched by first week of September, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao said. The Metro Rail facility will be extended to LB Nagar to Nagole and to Shamshabad International Airport, he said after launching a Flyover at Kamineni Hospital junction in LB Nagar.
The Ameerpet-LB Nagar corridor of Hyderabad Metro rail was to be launched on August 15, but due to delay by the CMRS (Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety) in issuing clearances, the services could not be launched as planned, the Minister said.
He said, the corridor will be now launched in the first week of September.
He said, efforts were being made to connect the LB Nagar-Nagole Metro line and to extend it to Shamshabad via Falaknuma in Phase-2.
Hyderabad will be ‘MegaCity’ by 2030, Speaking at the occasion the Minister said.
