Ghaziabad: The state government has directed GDA (Ghaziabad Development Authority) to go ahead with 9.41km long metro rail project between Dilshad Garden in New Delhi to Ghaziabad Bus stand, based on the revised funding pattern.
With the approval, the Centre too is expected to release its share soon.
In a letter to the GDA Vice-Chairman on Wednesday, the Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Department has specified the revised funding pattern from the earlier Rs 1,770 crore (approx US$ 272 Million) to Rs 2,210 crore (approx US$ 340 Million).
Stakeholders’ share in the project has been increased too.
The letter issued to the authority has been issued in accordance with the cabinet clearance, Mukul Singhal, Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development, said, asked about the revised cost.
