EIB and Agra Metro:

In March: A significant step was taken for the sustainable urban development and cultural heritage preservation, the European Investment Bank (EIB) pledged a substantial €450 million loan towards the Agra Metro Project. This financial commitment marks a major step forward in addressing urban congestion, air and noise pollution, and ensuring safer public transportation, particularly for women and girls, in the historic city of Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

In Sep: The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has awarded a significant contract to Larsen & Toubro Limited for designing and constructing the mainline elevated viaduct and 14 metro stations from Agra Cantt. to Kalindi Vihar.
