New Delhi: The DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) is planning to replace ‘manual token counters’ with ‘Token Vending Machines’ (TVMs) at all stations. The metro stations where a daily sale of tokens is under 5000, DMRC will provide token vending machines there.

More Information:

  • The DMRC had replaced manual sales counters at 118 metro stations.
  • About 519 TVMs have been installed and all are operational.
  • The first TVM was installed at Rajiv Chowk station in 2011.
  • Now, the smart card recharge/token sale facility at the TVMs through Credit/Debit cards can be done at metro stations.
