New Delhi: The DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) is planning to replace ‘manual token counters’ with ‘Token Vending Machines’ (TVMs) at all stations. The metro stations where a daily sale of tokens is under 5000, DMRC will provide token vending machines there.
The DMRC had replaced manual sales counters at 118 metro stations.
About 519 TVMs have been installed and all are operational.
The first TVM was installed at Rajiv Chowk station in 2011.
Now, the smart card recharge/token sale facility at the TVMs through Credit/Debit cards can be done at metro stations.
