New Delhi: Majlis Park & Shiv Vihar line of Delhi Metro’s Pink Line has got the Safety Commissioner’s approval and is ready to come into operation from next week. The transporter had the 20.6-km Majlis Park-Durgabai Deshmukh stretch of the line under trial since last month. The DMRC has received the clearance from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) for opening the Majlis Park-Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus Metro section.
Delhi Metro said in a statement,”This line is likely to be opened for commercial operations next week after completion of all stipulations specified in the sanction.”
The segment constitutes one-third of the entire 58-km-long line and has 12 stations including 3 interchange stations at-
Netaji Subhash Place
The 3 interchanging stations will connect commuters with-
Yellow Line (Huda City Centre-Samaypur Badli) at Azadpur
Red Line (Rithala-Dilshad Garden) at Netaji Subhash Place
Blue Line (Dwarka Sector 21-Noida City Centre) at Rajouri Garden.
