Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) marked its 31st Foundation Day with a grand event at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Celebrating 31 Years of Progress:
DMRC commemorated its 31st Foundation Day with an inspiring ceremony at Bharat Mandapam. The Chief Guest, Shri Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs & Power, and Guest of Honour, Smt. Rekha Gupta, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, graced the occasion along with several key dignitaries.

Shri Manohar Lal, Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs & Power said, “The highest number of passenger journeys achieved in Delhi Metro is 78 lakhs. Many countries do not have a population of 78 lakhs and these many people travel by the Delhi Metro in one day. The journey is convenient, safe and disciplined. Life has become much easier for the passengers.”
Smt. Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister of Delhi said, “The place that Delhi Metro has made in the hearts of the people, it is indeed nothing less than the lifeline. There is a ‘feel good factor’ when a passenger enters the Delhi Metro. They keep it clean, and they follow the rules as well. There has been a behavioural change.”
