Hyderabad: Efforts are being made to introduce the Common Mobility Card (CMC) to travel in Metro, city buses and MMTS as a pilot project by January-end. Transport, Roads and Buildings Principal Secretary, Sunil Sharma and Hyderabad Metro Rail, Managing Director NVS Reddy reviewed the status of implementation of common mobility card in twin cities on Tuesday at HMRL office, Begumpet.
- Sunil Sharma advised RTC ED Purushotham Naik to finalise the modalities with SBI early within a week.
- During the meeting, the HMRL MD appealed to all the officials to expedite the process and launch a pilot project by the January end 2019 at least in two metro stations, 100 RTC buses and 50 autos near metro catchment areas.
- L&T Metro COO Anil Saini gave a brief status of implementation of CMC card by Hitachi/SBI consortium.
- The meeting was attended by the Executive Director (Revenue) TSRTC A. Purushotham, Chief Engineer (IT) TSRTC, N. Sudarshan, AGM, SBI, Obul Reddy, Convener, Auto Drivers Union, Mohd Amanullah Khan and senior officers from HMRL.
