Cable manufacturer, CMI Limited has bagged a Rs 107 crore contract from Indian Railways for supply of cadmium catenary wire, it said on Tuesday.
The company said in a filing to BSE,”CMI has secured L1 (lowest bidder) position for supply of cadmium catenary wire to East Coast Indian Railways for a value of Rs 106.64 crore. The tender was decided through a reverse auction process.”
- The company is engaged in manufacturing cables for various industries such as railways, power, energy, telecommunications, oil & gas, industrial, petrochemicals, etc.
- Its list of customers include Indian Railways, various metro corporations, NTPC, BSNL, GAIL, ISRO, BPCL, BHEL, IOC, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, among others, according to the company.
- Shares of the company on Tuesday closed 3.03% up at Rs 180.45 apiece on BSE.
