The eagerly awaited 3.14 km extension of Bangalore’s Namma Metro from Nagasandra to Madavara (BIEC) is now operational, enhancing connectivity in the area. Operating from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with fares ranging from Rs. 10 to Rs. 60, this extension offers a convenient transit option for daily commuters and visitors alike.
Inaugural Ride by Dignitaries:
In a pre-launch ride, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, the MP of Bengaluru South, local MLAs, and other dignitaries travelled the extension line from Yeshvanthpur to Madavara. During the inspection, officials spoke to the press, noting that this line will enhance connectivity in the area, with a formal inauguration scheduled later.
Operational Details:
Trains on the new extension will have a 10-minute frequency between Madavara and Nagasandra, while service on the rest of the Green Line remains unchanged, following the standard schedule.
