Ashoka Buildcon wins Rs. 568.86 crore contract from Central Railway for gauge conversion and construction works

Ashoka Buildcon Limited has won a major contract worth Rs. 568.86 crore from Central Railway for the gauge conversion project between Pachora and Jamner (53.3 km). The scope includes earthwork, major and minor bridges, RUBs, and other civil works, excluding Pachora Yard and ROBs.


Introduction:

Central Railway assigned a prestigious infrastructure development contract to Ashoka Buildcon Limited. The scope of the contract includes gauge conversion work as well as various construction work excluding the Pachora Yard and Road Over Bridges (ROBs). The project to be executed within the duration of 30 months. 

Scope of Work:

The contract involves the construction of earthwork, major and minor bridges, road under-bridges (RUBs), permanent way (P. Way) works, and miscellaneous civil works associated with the gauge conversion of the Pachora–Jamner railway line, covering approximately 53.3 kilometers. The scope of the contract excludes the Pachora Yard and Road Over Bridges (ROBs).

Project Value and Duration:

The total contract value is Rs. 568.86 crore, and the project is scheduled for completion within 30 calendar months from the date of commencement.

Significance:

This gauge conversion work will play a vital role in enhancing rail connectivity and operational efficiency in the region, contributing to smoother transportation and freight movement for Central Railway.
