Ahead of the commencement of commercial run on the entire North-South Corridor (Phase-1A) from Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) Airport to Munshipulia, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has started the sale of GoSmart cards at 10 Metro stations, Administrative Office at Gomti Nagar & Transport Nagar Metro Depot for the convenience of commuters.

LMRC has set up special sale counters at CCS Airport, Krishna Nagar, Alambagh Bus stand, Charbagh, Sachivalaya, Hazratganj, Vishwavidyalaya, Bhoothnath Market, Indira Nagar, Munshipulia Metro stations along with Administrative Office and Transport Nagar Metro Depot for the sale of Lucknow Metro GoSmart cards. GoSmart card is available at Rs 200 inclusive of Rs 100 as security charge, which is refundable.

GoSmart card saves both money and time for users as 10% discount on each journey is provided to the GoSmart card users and they don’t have to stand in queues for tokens. Besides these benefits, GoSmart card users can also enjoy free Wi-Fi facility at the Metro Stations for which they just have to tap their card at the card reader. Tokens can also be purchased through Token Vending Machine using GoSmart Card, so user’s relatives and friends can purchase tickets using the same card. GoSmart card holders can recharge their smart cards both offline (at the Metro stations) & online (through LMRC App).
